I love traveling, lying on the beach, salsa dancing, staying fit and good food!
I was born in Denver, but grew up in a small country town in Northern California called Kelseyville. I moved around to different places in my early 20s and lived in Hawaii, Texas, Colorado and Germany. After finding Nicolai, the man of my dreams—who is now my husband—I found myself settling down in San Francisco, living and loving it here!
Having been raised in a small town, I was always encouraged to “go out and see the world.” So I did just that! The idea of seeing how the rest of the world lives is in my blood, and I doubt it will ever change. I’ve been fortunate enough to have traveled to Indonesia, Costa Rica and all over Europe. Nicolai and I took our first adventure together as husband and wife to Spain and Portugal.
I really enjoy serving on the Young Professional Advisory Counsel committee for Family House, a non-profit in San Francisco. It provides a home-away-from-home for families of children being treated in the city for life- threatening illnesses.
Skincare is important to me because...
Since I have struggled with acne most of my adult life, I realized the importance of a good skincare regimen, which I started in my teens. Besides keeping a clear complexion, I’m doing all I can to fight any early signs of aging.
Best skincare advice
Never go to bed with your makeup on, and exfoliate.
On feeling beautiful in your own skin
It doesn’t matter where you’re from or where you’ve been—when a woman is doing her best to take care of herself physically, mentally and spiritually, there is a sense of confidence that says to the world, “I am beautiful.” Keeping these things balanced in my life hopefully says just that.

Tell us a little about planning your wedding.
An experience I'll never forget! There were so many things to take into consideration. It was hectic at times, but also a lot of fun. Whenever I felt overwhelmed, I’d remind myself to enjoy every bit of it—it’s a once-in-a-lifetime experience for me.
Do you like to cook?
I love to cook! However, it is not my passion … and my husband is a fabulous chef. Our deal is: If he cooks, I clean. What’s a girl to do?
Who are your beauty icons?
My mother, Valerie, as well as my grandmother, Dixie, and great-grandmother, Ann. Both grandmothers passed away last year, but I was so blessed to have them in my life for as long as I did. They always carried themselves with such beauty and grace—and never ones to be caught without their eyebrows and lipstick on.
